My granddaughters are 11 yrs old now and recently they have had a passionate interest in learning more about my creole heritage so we stumbled upon this website. Wow, I love it, I have long said we have been too passive and unappreciative of our culture, I am proud to be creole, proud of the fact I couldn't speak a word in English when I started school, it's so unforunate the powers that were in generations past did not make creole an official, written language. So unfortunate we're losing it, but websites like this one is a step in the right direction toward retaining it. Admin reply: It's guest like You that Really make Our Work worth while..It's about time We Creoles reclaimed Our Heritage and Culture..Thanks for all..sorry for the untimely response

What a glorious website! I have long been drawn to Creole literature and am currently reading Isle of Canes by Elizabeth Shown Mills. There is so much interesting, informative info on your site and the photos are wonderful! My husband and I visited Natchitoches and the Cane River area in the early 90's and hope to return some day. You have done a stellar job with your website! Admin reply: there is much indeed to learn about Creole People this is just the tip of the Iceberg..We are very happy when positive thinking people have a lot to say about Our Creole Culture..God Bless

I have visited your site often and just wanted to comment how informative it is. There is a vast amount of information contained therein. My family names are Boutte, Olivier, Sigue, Vincent, with ancestry from Mexico. For years Creole was their only language. It is believed we are also related to Henrette Delille. I recall people from Mexico visiting our church while tracing her roots. Her birth certificates indicate Patoutville, which is our home. When time avails, I plan to research more of our creole background. I have a family website lation. net (if you don't mind my saying, on the page "Creole faces" the link to the lation website is broken. I link your site from mine, and lots of people visit your site. Again, great job, and I love the music. Admin reply: Without You support and Your repeat visits there would not be a Creole web site like this and We hope you continue to come back and view our Updates..Your Creole lifestyle is the envy of many Urban creoles ,Me included ...I also enjoyed all the great info on Your Web page..Come back as much as You can..Augustine
